Sen. Gilbert Baker’s Statement on 2009 4Q FEC Report

Baker:  “Washington DC is not listening. I am confident voters crave conservative ideas like balancing the federal budget and saying ‘no’ to government bailouts.”

Conway, Ark.  – The Baker for US Senate campaign released their 4th Quarter Fundraising numbers showing collections of almost $300,000 for the three months ending December 31, 2009.  The actual figure reported to the Federal Election Commission is $295,649.41.

“I continue to be humbled by the support that my campaign receives from all across the state,” Sen. Baker said.  “Washington DC is not listening and is in need of common sense solutions.  This will be a tough, spirited primary campaign, but I am confident that voters crave conservative ideas like balancing the federal budget and saying ‘no’ to government bailouts.  This primary campaign will be about the future of the Republican Party, not the past!”

The Baker for U.S. Senate Campaign raised a total of more than $800,000 from Sept. 1 – Dec. 31 and has cash-on-hand of $639,140.74.
