Sen. Baker’s Response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address

Baker: “It’s time to deliver on the promises he made to do what’s necessary to strengthen America.”

Conway, Ark. – United States Senate Candidate Gilbert Baker has issued the following comment in response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address:

“I'm pleased to see President Obama will finally admit it’s time to deliver on the promises he made to strengthen America.  It’s unfortunate he chose to wait until we have 10% unemployment and a $1.4 trillion deficit to focus on jobs and the economy.  With his health care plan in jeopardy and declining approval rating, it’s clear that the people of America are fed up with his big-government, big spending agenda.  I will be a check and balance on President Obama’s liberal policies, I will support a federal balanced budget, I will work for congressional term limits, and most importantly, I will represent the conservative values of Arkansans in Washington, D.C.”
